NaNoWriMo Day 10

Progress has come to a slow and steady pace by this point. Today marked the passing of one third of the month, and I am very pleased with all the progress I have made thus far.

The goal had been to reach 16,000+ words today, and i fell short by around 1,000. The great thing about being behind today by only one thousand is the fact that I had been several thousand behind. I have been able to schedule several wiriting periods throughout my day to catch up to this point. I still have a bit more to do, but I know with this new time management routine I started a few days ago finishing NaNo is not just a dream.

50,000 words in one month is a crazy dream, but I think it’s not a crazy dream for me to have. Writing is a great thing for me, and the only way to get to be a better writer is by writing. I know you’ve heard that everywhere, even at the busstop where it’s printed on a motivational poster for school kids, but seriously. Go with it.

Since I’ve started writing everyday this month I have found the words seem to flow from my fingers much smoother now. And, to top it all off, my typing seems to have improved as well! Talk about a perk!

This have been a rough last few days, for everyone. I look forward to tomorrow and Saturday and hopefully hitting or surpassing my word count goals for those days so that I wont have to deal with the writer’s guilt for taking Sunday off again.

Have a great night World, and I hope to see you again when the sun shines bright and hopefully there are more smiles on Facebook.

Here’s a little bonus that I shared on Facebook the other day. My lovely partner in crime spent a bit of his time coming up with a cover for my NaNo project. Let me know what you think in the comments or on Facebook.
