Well, not really dead, but certainly missing from the web!
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here. Even though there are only a few who like/comment/are aware of this page, I do apologize!
In the last few months I’ve been both busy and extremely lazy. Oops!
As of today I have completed two books and plotted three (well on my way with number four). On the personal side I’ve been working with my kids as they learned the new routine that came with kindergarten and joining Girl Scouts. It’s been a learning experience for all of us!
Today I finished the first draft of The Secret of Wicklow Woods, the first in the Wicklow Wolves series. I have it laid out for five books at the moment, but that’s subject to change. I have four other standalone concepts in the lineup as well. I’m excited for the things 2019 will bring.
Along the 2019 line, Happy New Year! (I know I’m behind a bit, sorry again) I’ve made some big plans for the year, ones of which is to get a better grasp on the social media part of being an author. That means this site too, in case that wasn’t obvious (it was though, right? See, improvement needed!).
Starting next week I have it down in the schedule to continue plotting the second installment in the Wicklow Wolves series. I don’t have a working title for it yet, but I’m hoping as the plot develops something will jump out at me and click.
January also has some editing on the list! Remember Stranded Moon? Well, I received some feedback on it last year and I have yet to act on it. That time has come up. I’m going to be doing some restructuring on the first few chapters.
During the month of February I will be writing the second Wicklow Wolves book. I’m shooting for 80k words, but the first draft of the first book came in around 70k, so we’ll see how that goes.
During the month of March I will be taking time to plot a new, standalone, story that I will then write during April’s Camp NaNoWriMo.
I’m excited for this year, and I sure hope you are! I love the plans we make during January, but now we all have to push up our sleeves, get to work and make it happen!
